Supplier Quality Engineer

Salary: xx / Yearly Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Type: Full-Time Zip Code: 84119
This position supports manufacturability during the product development process and will manager all supplier /vendor relationships. Prior experience with audit and implementing corrective actions is required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

a) Process risk assessment / mitigation
b) Process characterization
c) Process validation
d) Structured problem solving
e) Structured experimentation to create and optimize processes
f) Create, analyze and optimize manufacturing and quality systems
g) Dimensional tolerancing
h) Test / Inspection Method capability
i) Sampling strategies for acceptance and validation
j) Design Controls and structured product development
k) Applied statistics (descriptive and inferential)
l) Manufacturing process controls
4. Ability to create and provide training
5. Oral and written presentation skills
6. Ability to work in cross functional teams
7. Understanding of regulatory environment

POTENTIAL TASKS:
1. Initiates new or revised documentation and tracks through appropriate approval cycles and implementation
2. Maintains a professional working relationship with internal & external customer and support staff
3. Participates and/or leads cross-functional teams.
4. Provides technical support for manufacturability, risk mitigation and quality systems.
5. Reviews physical and functional test requirements to assure specifications & regulations are met.
6. Reviews and approves protocols, reports and data.
7. Supports design controls and product development process
8. Inspection plan generation
9. Implement process controls
10. Understands and follows company procedures and regulatory requirements.
11. Participates in and provides input to training on department & division procedures, and policies.
12. Participates in project strategy / planning.
13. Analyzes problems in design, process and test development.
14. Prepares and presents oral and written project updates and technical discussions.

Basic Qualifications: This position requires:

Bachelor degree in an engineering 3+ years of experience in an engineering capacity with a regulated industry.
Strong analytical skills.
